1. I can’t open the course downloadable documents. How do I open them?

To open the documents you need a PDF editor. A free download version is available from Adobe Acrobat.  Download Adobe Acrobat DC for free here.

2.  Do the courses qualify for any type of certification credits?

Every certifying organization has different standards. Therefore, check with your certifying organization to determine if a course meets their standards. A certificate of completion is provided for the individual modules. The estimated time includes review of videos and completion downloadable workbooks and templates.

3. Can I start and stop a course?  

You can start and stop a course at any time as well as review sections you have already completed.  You can complete the course in one day, 6 month, or a year. You have access to the material for life. Use the material in the course as reference and visit the course site as often as needed.  

4. How long do I have access to a course?

You have access to the course material for the life of the course. 

5. Will there be updates to the course? Will I need to pay for the updates?

Yes. Courses will be periodically updated and you will automatically receive the updates for no additional fee. Updates could be a revamped module, modified workbook, and an additional section or handouts. That does not mean there will not be exceptions to this policy if there is a complete rewrite and new version of a topic is released.  

6. Does Laura’s Consulting Guide have any social media presence?

No. A decision was made to use the Community Group function of Thinkific instead of a third-party social media platform. 

Being a consultant can be lonely but it does not need to be. The purpose of the Community Group is to help connect with other consultants, and share information, ask questions, and discuss points of interest.  

7. Is my personal information secure?

Yes. Your personal information is secure. We do not share information outside of Laura’s Consulting Guide (LAD Enterprizes, Inc.) unless required by law.  This means we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your personal information to third parties.

8. Is my credit card information secure?

Yes. We do not ask for any credit card information. Customers are automatically directed to a third-party processor that is PCI DSSI 3.2 Compliant which requires confidential information in transit be encrypted. As of September 23, 2017, our preferred payment processor is Stripe (thestripe.com).

9. Is your site secure?

Yes. We selected Thinkific, Inc (thinikific.com) to host Laura’s Consulting Guide because Thinkific takes security as seriously as we do. Thinkific course sites are covered by an SSL certificate.
