Business Core Workshop
Clarify Your Focus, Ideal Client, and Service Offering
Many independent consultants reach a point where they’ve had a client or two, but momentum has stalled. Revenue feels inconsistent. Progress feels harder than it should. And despite having experience and expertise, it can be difficult to clearly explain what makes you different or where to focus next.
This nine-week, live program is designed to help independent consultants move past that stall by building a strong foundation — one that supports everything else you do to succeed — from how you explain what you do, to how you build trusted relationships, to how you create clients and consistent revenue.
Workshop Starts January 20th with a Pre-workshop Session on January 13th.
This workshop focuses on one thing: helping you build a strong, clear Business Core for your consulting business.
Your Business Core is the foundation that supports nearly every decision you make—from how you position yourself to how you engage with clients. When it’s clear and aligned, progress feels more natural. When it’s not, even experienced consultants can struggle to create clients and sustain momentum.
This workshop is:
This workshop is not:
The work you do here becomes the foundation for your business—
and it’s work you’ll continue to refine as your business grows.
Walk Away From this Workshop With
By the end of this nine-week workshop, you will have a clear, aligned Business Core.
More specifically, you will walk away with:
A Clearly Defined Focus: The one thing you want to be known and paid for, grounded in your experience and expertise.
A Well-Defined Ideal Client Profile: A clear picture of who you are best positioned to serve and clarity on where you can find them.
Validation That Your Focus Resonates: Confidence that what you want to be known for matters to people and that they are open to paying you for help.
A Prototype of your Point of View, Your Philosophy: A clear articulation of how you think, why you approach client problems the way you do, and what differentiates you.
A Supporting Methodology: A logical, repeatable way of explaining how you help clients move from where they are to where they want to be.
Clear, Aligned Service Offerings: Defined services based on your Point of View and methodology, so you are no longer guessing what to offer or how to package your work
Leave with greater confidence in how your conversations resonate with the right people, a clearer sense of which stories help communicate your value, and the beginning of a list of connections that can lead to future opportunities or clients.
The goal of this workshop is not only for you to gain clarity about what you do, who you help, and how you are different, but also to leave with the confidence to move forward and succeed.
The 9-Week Structure
The program unfolds in three connected phases. Each phase builds on the one before it.
Phase 1: Clarify Your Focus
Clarify what you want to be known for and why, grounded in who you are and what matters to you, your experience, expertise, and strengths and market demand.
Phase 2: Define, Find, and Validate Your Ideal Client
Define who you are best positioned to serve, where you can find them, and validate that your focus resonates with people who fit your ideal client profile.
Phase 3: Shape Your Service Offering
Craft your Point of View, your philosophy and differentiator then support it with your approach and methodology and aligned services.
This workshop is designed to fit into your daily work life and not take it over. What that means is you’re not expected to pause your work or clear your calendar for nine weeks.
Instead, the structure is intentional, supportive and flexible, so you can make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
